The byline
Pages on this site are signed by the desk rather than by a named person. That is a deliberate choice. A named author on an affiliate comparison site is only worth anything if you can find that person somewhere other than the site itself — a professional profile, prior published work, a way to contact them and disagree. Inventing a plausible-looking reviewer with a stock photograph is the industry norm and it is worth exactly nothing to you, so we have not done it.
What we do instead is analyse the terms and conditions and read the documents behind them, so that every claim on this site is traceable. Licence numbers are given so you can search the register yourself. Withdrawal windows and ID-check limits are taken from the operator's own terms. Where a figure could not be confirmed, the page says it could not be confirmed rather than filling the gap with a plausible number.
How the site is funded
Affiliate commission from one operator. Links to that operator carry rel="sponsored nofollow" and are described as affiliate links wherever they appear. Links to every other operator on the site point at our own notes and pay nothing.
Nobody pays for a position in the table. The rules that set the order are on the methodology page, including the places where the commercial partner comes off worse than a competitor.
What this site does not do
- No fabricated urgency. No countdown timers, no "seven people are looking at this offer", no fake recent-winner tickers. If an offer has an end date, the end date is the operator's.
- No advice about getting around a block. If an operator does not accept New Zealand players, the answer is a different operator, not a workaround. Using a VPN to open an account you are not eligible for is how balances get confiscated at withdrawal, and it is a term-of-service breach in every set of terms on this site.
- No claim to have played there. What we do is analyse the terms and read the documents and the public registers behind them. Where a number would only be knowable by depositing money, this site does not pretend to know it.
- No personal advice. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice. Gambling is entertainment spending with a negative expected return, and that is true of every operator listed.
Who this is for
Adults in New Zealand, 18 and over, who have already decided to play and want the decision to be made on documents rather than on banner size. If you are not sure gambling is still a choice you are making freely, the responsible gambling page lists the New Zealand services, all of them free and none of them requiring your name.
Corrections and contact
Operator terms change without notice, and the most useful thing a reader can send is a link to a page that contradicts something here. Corrections are made to the page and the review date at the top is reset — silently rewriting history is not the same as correcting it.
