- How the money actually moves between your bank and a crypto casino
None of the ten operators here will send a dollar to a New Zealand bank account, and none will take one. Every bank transfer in this process happens between you and an exchange — which is also where the reporting rules bite, at NZ$1,000.
- Stablecoins: the token is published, the network is not
A coin list was retrieved for six of the ten operators in the table. Every one of those six names its tokens. Not one of the ten names the blockchain it will send them on — and the network is the part of the decision that can cost you the whole deposit.
- Vave, and a correction in its favour
Vave's certificate was issued on 19 May 2025 and this site did not find it until 2 September 2026 — roughly fifteen months in which our own column said there was nothing to check. What changed was the search, not the operator.
- Jackbit, and the document we could not read
Three pages of Jackbit were retrieved on 26 August 2026 and none of them was the terms — the terms URL returned binary content instead of text. That leaves one checkable fact, a licence number in the Curaçao register, and a column this site refuses to fill from anywhere else.
Working notes
Explainers
Longer pieces that follow one document to the end — a set of terms, a register entry, a payment leg. Each one is dated, and each one says where the reading stopped.
